Newsletter Start-up / Venture Capital, April 2021
Dear Reader,
Positive news from us: Despite all the waves, one spectacular financing round is lining up after the next and our start-up location is thriving – even when the Suez Canal is closed for a few days.
Next good news: We were delighted to celebrate the 8th Birthday of Werk 1 on 19 March 2021. If you haven’t yet heard about this high-performance centre for start-ups in Munich, you can read more here. We’ve partnered with Werk 1 since 2019 and want to take this opportunity to again wish this fantastic project a very happy birthday.
Our series of workshops is also about to start again. Unfortunately, all workshops (scheduled for 13, 15, 20 and 22 April) will be held virtually, at least for now. The advantage of this is that we have a lot more “space” than we normally do, so make sure you register for your spot.
We’ve got the following articles for you in this newsletter:
- The new German competition law: What’s in it for start-ups and VC? (Christoph Heinrich, Cathleen Laitenberger)
- EU First – Venture Capital Funds, start-ups and the German Foreign Investment Control (Dr Patrick Alois Hübner, Dr Christian von Wistinghausen)
- Will there soon be a new limited liability company form for start-ups? (Tassilo Klesen)
- SPAC Fever 2021: Recommendations for Early-Stage start-ups (Dr Mario Weichel)
- Brexit: Impact on the transfer of personal data to the United Kingdom (Katharina Mayerbacher)
- Update 2021 – an overview of the most important labour law updates for start-ups (Dr Michaela Felisiak, Dr Erik Schmid)
- Recent EU Regulation on crowdfunding (Dr Christoph Schmitt, Joel F. Schaaf)
- The legal framework for crowdfunding (Christoph Daniel, CrowdDesk)
We hope you enjoy reading it!
As always, we welcome your input and comments.
See you soon!
